Employers can access training dollars through Chester County’s On-the-Job Training (OJT) program to help offset the training costs associated with the on-boarding and training of new hires. With a plan in place outlining how your business will train a new employee in specific skills, the program can reimburse employers 50% of a new hire’s wages earned for a period lasting up to 26 weeks, with a maximum reimbursement level of up to $6,000.

Coatesville Football and the Boosters club gave us a Chief Red Raider welcome 🏈
At the event we presented our Trades Scholarship to Ossian Canning for use towards apprenticeship costs and tools. Ossian is a former Coatesville and TCHS Brandywine Campus student from the Electrical Occupations program and now has gone on to excel in his career as an electrician.

Yesterday the Chamber honored two amazing individuals at our Annual Dinner at the The Gardens at Applecross

John H. Lymberis of Harry's the Neighborhood Place was the recipient of the Joseph G. Filoromo Community Service Award. John is an integral supporter to many organizations and community service efforts across western Chester County. He is an avid contributor to Sadsburyville’s development and growth efforts and his dedication for his community is felt throughout western Chester County. John has been a champion for business for many years and an integral support to growing the region.

Michael Guyer of Mid Penn Bank was the recipient of the Elliott R. Jones Award for his significant volunteer services to WCC Chamber. Michael has enlisted time and expertise in furthering the mission of connecting local businesses to resources, ideas and relationships to help them grow. He has participated in countless initiatives to ensure western Chester County is a well-connected and innovative community for business growth. Thanks to his strategic insight and dedication he has helped strengthen the Chamber to new heights.

Most recognized as the lead of second generation of the Lymberis family to operate Harry's; he engages in endless fundraising promotions through the restaurant for local non-profits, schools, first responders, armed forces, and veterans. Last Friday, we celebrated the grand opening of the Made in Coatesville incubator Market in Downtown Coatesville!

The Made in Coatesville Incubator helps small businesses grow by providing a cost-effective, physical location. The Incubator businesses can sell and market their goods and services while learning the tools needed to successfully run their business.

We have three Chamber members in the Made in Coatesville Incubator: Valley Crossing Digital, Looker Books, and West Branch Herbs & Tea!
