Celebrating 65 sweet years. 🍦

This month, Handi-Crafters offically turned 65 years old and on June 18, we celebrated this extraordinary milestone with an ice cream party! 🥳

Program participants and staff enjoyed a special afternoon treat from the wonderful women at the Villages at Hilltop.

A very special thank you to the Red Hats from the Villages at Hilltop for your generosity and for coming out to Handi-Crafters to help us celebrate our 65th birthday! ❤️

Handi-Crafters is proud to recognize Amanda Wisk as our May 2026 Employee of the Month! ⭐️

Amanda first joined our team as a Production Assistant, where she quickly demonstrated her versatility by supporting various workshop operations. No matter the task, Amanda approached it with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. From there, she transitioned to serving as a 1:1 Support Professional—a role where her natural compassion, patience, attentiveness, and ability to connect with others truly shined. Her intuitive and person-centered approach helped create opportunities for growth, independence, and success.

As Handi-Crafters' needs evolved, Amanda once again demonstrated her flexibility and team-first attitude. In May 2026, she transitioned into the role of Floating Administrative Support. Today, Amanda serves as a welcoming presence at the Spatola Center reception desk, assists the Finance and Development departments with administrative projects, and continues to support our Rehabilitation team as a substitute 1:1 staff member.

Amanda's willingness to embrace new challenges, learn new skills, and step into whatever role is needed makes her an invaluable member of the Handi-Crafters team. She is positive, dependable, fun, compassionate, and always eager to help wherever she can make a difference.

We are incredibly grateful for Amanda's commitment to Handi-Crafters and the people we serve. Her flexibility, professionalism, and team spirit embody the very best of our organization.

Congratulations, Amanda! ❤️
