πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ D-DAY REMEMBRANCE – JUNE 6 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Today we honor the courage, sacrifice, and bravery of the Allied forces who landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

D-Day marked a turning point in World War II and remains one of the most significant moments in history. We remember the thousands who fought for freedom and pay tribute to those who never made it home.

Their sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.

⚠️ FIRE SAFETY REMINDER ⚠️

Due to the recent dry conditions throughout Chester County, Modena Borough is asking residents to use extreme caution with any outdoor burning activities and strongly encourages residents to postpone non-essential burning until conditions improve.

Even small recreational fires can quickly spread when vegetation and ground conditions are dry, creating a risk to neighboring properties and our community.

Please remember:
β€’ Never leave a fire unattended
β€’ Keep a water source nearby
β€’ Do not burn trash, construction debris, household waste, or other prohibited materials
β€’ Fully extinguish all fires before leaving the area
β€’ Be considerate of neighboring properties and excessive smoke

Residents are reminded that Modena Borough ordinances regarding nuisances, public safety, and improper burning remain in effect. Burning prohibited materials, creating excessive smoke, or otherwise causing a nuisance to neighboring properties may result in enforcement action and the issuance of citations.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping protect our community, neighbors, homes, and emergency responders during these dry conditions.

If you observe a fire that appears unsafe or out of control, please call 911 immediately.

Thank you, Senator Carolyn Comitta and her team, for supporting the 6th Annual Modena Duck Derby and helping spread the word about our community event. We appreciate your continued support of Modena Borough! πŸ¦†πŸ’™
