Happy National First Responders Day!

National First Responders Day on October 28 recognizes the heroic men and women who make it their business to take immediate action when disaster strikes. Congress designated October 28th as National First Responders Day in 2017. The resolution honors the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and all those who are first on the scene in stressful situations. Notably, the family of Sean Collier, a police officer ambushed and murdered during events related to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, supported the resolution.

First responders face high risks virtually every time they step out onto the front lines. It's quite likely America's most dangerous career. First responders put other lives ahead of their own. On this day they get to share joy with teammates and take a moment to feel appreciated.

We want to say thank you for your service and are extremely proud of all of you for your professionalism!

Once again the East Fallowfield Township Police Department is participating in the Blue Beards for Charity! 💙

With fall approaching, the leaves are changing, the days get shorter and of course it’s “beard growing season.” Blue Beards for Charity was established by police officers in Chester County as a way to give back to the community. We will continue to support four local charities: Unite for Her, The Sambuco Children’s Education Fund, A Child’s Light and the Chester County Crime Victims Center. This year we will also be supporting the family of Officer Josh Micun who tragically passed away due to Covid in 2021.

In 2021, the Blue Beards for Charity has raised more than $50,000 for charity, and 2022 will be even more successful with more participants as the event continues to grow. All money raised can be sent to Blue Beards for Charity and funds will be dispersed at a publicized event at the end of November. Every department that participates will be invited to attend that event.
