The CIVGP wishes to thank Proudfoot Capital for allowing the city of Coatesville to utilize their parking lots at 190 West Lincoln Highway (also known as the nth Innovation Center) for general parking, and 3rd Ave & Lincoln Hwy, for the Beer Garden. Proudfoot Capital is an early believer in the Coatesville community. It’s renovation and expansion of the formerly vacant 1902 office building at 190 West Lincoln is the first major private new construction project in Coatesville in over 50 years. The nth Innovation Center is named for its lead tenant, nth Solutions, a product development, manufacturing, and business incubation company that advances innovation from concept to commercialization in areas that save lives, save money, and preserve natural resources. One of its incubated companies, H2O Connected developed the LeakAlertor brand of products that is quickly becoming a leader in sustainability as it saves water and lowers water and sewer costs for homeowners and multi-tenant property owners by detecting and quantifying water wasting problems with toilets. Many people in Coatesville may know Susan Springsteen as well, who is a managing partner at Nth Solutions, President of H2O Connected, and also on our Auto/Moto Show Committee. She is a fantastic supporter of the Grand Prix and Coatesville. We are thankful to her team and Proudfoot Capital for being such an integral part of the CIVGP!

Calling all Motorsport Enthusiasts! 🏁🏎️
You are invited to the 7th Annual Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix – three exciting days, September 14 – 16 in Coatesville, PA. https://coatesvillegrandprix.com/
The Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix has become one of the most-anticipated events in Chester County, drawing thousands from the region and surrounding states. It’s one of the few remaining events in North America where you can watch up to 90 vintage cars and motorcycles in action…running on a 2-mile track that winds through city streets (complete with old-style straw bales). Stand within feet from the vehicles, visit pit row, plus this year enjoy the 1st Annual Coatesville Vintage Auto/Moto show sponsored by Brian Hoskins Ford and brought to you by Motor House Media, plus a soapbox derby for kids, Jeff D’Ambrosio Auto Group beer & wine garden, vendors, and great food…it’s a party! ⛽🎉
⭐️ Leading up to the Grand Prix is the PrixView Party held at historic Brooklawn (ticketed event). And a real old-fashioned Friday Night Cruise-in – when anyone with a vintage car, truck or special interest vehicle can cruise the course and park between 1st and 5th on Lincoln Highway – mix and mingle. Happy Days!
Everything but the PrixView party is FREE to the public, and proceeds from the party, sponsors, Auto Show, and merchandise sales benefit Coatesville Parks and Recreation initiatives. Details at CoatesvilleGrandPrix.com

A repeat entry from Mark Gede, and his 1965 Mustang Fastback that he acquired about 4 years ago out of Ohio! According to Mark, it was in ok shape but required a good deal of work to bring it up to competition standards. He slowly started gathering parts from online sellers while deployed overseas. When he got home and started the rebuild, Mark decided to take the route of B production/road race spec for the car.
"I’ve kept it as period close as possible as if it was built and raced in 65-66. I’ve built it to be driven spiritedly and not babied but still enjoy cars and coffee and taking it to Ford Nationals. I was actually able to source some original Shelby parts at swap meets and from some old guys still holding onto these parts. The car will always be a work in progress but that’s what makes it fun. This will actually be my second year at the CIVGP. I fell in love with the event after last year and have been hooked ever since. I am looking forward to this year, with the new car show added and the popularity growing!"

We have another female entrant! Michaelann Spade, who hales from Greencastle, PA will be running her 1926 Ford Model T! She is the 3rd owner, but the 1st owner to make modifications to a race car. The history of this vehicle is that sometime in the 40s or 50s, the prior owner had 46 Chevy truck and he had an accident. He decided to take all the under carriage and combine it with the Model T body - the nicknamed "Stovebolt" engine is a 6 cylinder, with a 3 speed transmission. The front and rear axles are from the 1946 Chevy truck.
"About 3yrs ago was introduced to Ej Kolowski, Marcia Barker and Frank Walka, who have previously run in the CIVGP nearly every year! I was hooked they are a great group of people. MY first race was at Circle M it was great 2023 . I'm so excited for Coatesville, it will be a blast!"
Michaelann would also like to thank thank her son Nick Spade of King Ace Kustoms for finding the car and doing much of the work, alongside her husband Marion Spade and friend Raymond Holton!

Look at this beauty! Entered by Kevin Fitzgerald, This E3A is a bona fide, one-off Jaguar race car. For 20 years, this race car was successfully campaigned in the U.S. and Canada at such venues as Mont Tremblant, Summit Point, Watkins Glen, Sebring, VIR, and Elkhart Lake. In May 2021, it began its transformation to what you see today—the penultimate prototype race car in Concours condition, engineered for both street and track.
It was recently entered in the Delaware Valley Jaguar club sanctioned Concours show at Hope Lodge in Ft. Washington, PA - where it debuted after a 2-year restoration and rebuild, received first place in its class!

Alan Lesher drove his 1983 1/2 Dodge Shelby Charger in the 2022 Coatesville Vintage Grand Prix. I will be back for the 2023 running of the Coatesville Vintage Grand Prix." ~ Alan Lesher

In its second life, the Vay Special has participated in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Brickyard Historic’s at Indy, Jefferson 500, Pittsburg Vintage Grand Prix, Put in Bay Road Race Reunion, Coronado Speed Festival, numerous events at Mosport Vintage Grand Prix.

We're so grateful for their dedication to the downtown area - a wonderful community bank!

Check out this return entry from Bill Ric - a 1970 AMX that he's owned since 1994, but he didn't get it back on the road till 2021 as it was a father/son project! This car was produced by American Motors from 1968 through 1970 and is a two seat sports car with a 390 CI V8, and a four speed manual transmission.
According to Bill, "If the car wasn't already odd enough, AMC offered higher performance models in three distinct "Big Bad" colors. Green, Blue, and Orange. Mine is the latter, and has been modified for road course and autox duty. A bit of a time capsule, it still has points ignition, true dual exhaust, and a 4 barrel carburetor."

We are excited to once again bring this exciting event to the city of Coatesville. The 2016, 2017 and 2018 events were great successes and again met all of our goals. We are looking to make this year’s event an even bigger success, and we are hoping you will be a part of it.
The Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix serves to showcase our historic town, engage both the general public and our local citizens, and raise money for our city’s Parks and Recreation Department to help in the redevelopment of this great city.
Sports car history repeats itself
Like the by-gone days of early American sports car racing, vintage and classic sports cars of all types will take to the streets of downtown Coatesville and bring back the sound and excitement of those long forgotten days.
The cars will compete in a individually timed event, that will take them around a long 2.2 mile road course through the city and surrounding neighborhoods. Complete with old style hay bales chicanes to add a bit of challenge and excitement for the drives.
There will be excitement and fun all day!
Spectators will get to see over 50 rare and unique historic cars and motorcycles dating from the 1900’s to 1970. Visit the pit and paddock area that will be alive with drivers and their cars, prepping for their turn to compete.
Adults and children can enjoy our vendor area, just steps away from the start finish line. Here they can browse local and regional specialty merchants for crafts, gifts and more. Take a break from the action for some food and drink. There will a number of great food trucks to chose from to satisfy any taste, and for the thirsty adults, there will be a beer garden for a cold mug of suds.
Last Friday we were out at Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix's Cruise Night, check out some photos we took of the event!
