Lake County officials were notified by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Gray Wolf Program that during the last week of August they received reports of sightings of a single black wolf in the Mendocino National Forest. CDFW followed up on this and confirmed the presence. The location of at least one of the detections, was determined to be in very northern Lake County. Currently CDFW believes this to be a single, dispersing wolf, which may already have left the county or is traveling large distances. Per Lakeport Police Department TRAFFIC CONTROLS IN PLACE - Lakeport Boulevard and South Main Street

Until further notice due to Emergency Road Repair

Public Works crews are performing emergency road repairs near the intersection of Lakeport Boulevard and South Main Street. The work is affecting traffic in the area. Please avoid the area if possible, allow extra travel time, and use caution around road crews, equipment, and other motorists. Follow all posted signs and traffic-control directions.. AVOID the area!! Watch for FIRST RESPONDERS, ROAD CREWS and DETOURS!!
