"There are currently 38 large data center project proposals being considered by utility regulators in the state. Those projects would demand nearly double the energy of all New York households combined, according to a recent analysis."

The environmental impacts these data centers have on local communities are serious. New York State lawmakers are urging Governor Kathy Hochul to sign the "Responsible Data Center Development Act," which is a stronger moratorium proposal that includes data centers that require more than 20 megawatts of electricity. This is stricter than the executive order Kathy Hochul signed, which placed a one-year moratorium on data centers requiring more than 50 megawatts of electricity.

It is a step in the right direction. If elected assemblyperson, I will continue to advocate for stronger legislation surrounding the proliferation of these data centers in order to protect our local communities.

I just learned from the Blake Gendebien for the North Country campaign that little 'ol Schoharie collected more signatures to get Blake on the ballot than Clinton, Saratoga, Oneida and Franklin counties, combined.

Don’t worry about the massive inflation caused by Republican tariffs and illegal wars that make gas, food, rent, and healthcare increasingly unaffordable. Republicans in Congress think that “we should do a little more” for the already rich. Trump fanboy Anthony Constantino would be another lockstep vote to “do a little more” for the already fabulously wealthy.
