Fridays are always a blast. The 28th had us attending the opening Varsity Football home game at Cochrane - Fountain City School District to watch the Pirates take a commanding victory, while simultaneously selling 50/50 raffle tickets at Mississippi Thunder Speedway just down the road. The ability to partner with community businesses and get out in front of people with fundraising is such a privilege for us and we're grateful for the opportunity.

Well we'll finish the month off with a more recent group photo, taken in 2025 and you know it's gotta be in front of the rig! We're missing a few people here but these are still your dedicated service members.

Locally we're known for our famous hotdog stand at the 4th of July celebration, our refreshing rootbeer float stands at various "Wednesdays in the park", the Love Light Tree the first Sunday in December, our holiday season gift wrapping later in December, and various raffles. But Scenic Valley EMS has used may different fundraising means over the years including a Luncheon, Craft & Bake Sale.

Scenic Valley is here for all of the medical emergencies of the communities we serve but there are some things that can happen like cardiac arrest where even the fast response of Scenic Valley may not be enough. It is incredibly important that people get education for CPR, and Stroke recognition. We have in the past and still do have certified instructors on staff for teaching CPR, for personal safety reasons, employment, or college applications.

Seems like some people need us to do this again. Anyways, we found a newspaper clipping of Scenic Valley and Cochrane-Fountain City FFA Chapter teaming up to put larger, contrasting, and easier to read address numbers on community houses. It is very important that locations are properly labeled, especially since streetlights are an endangered species in our service area.
