Monday night we had our monthly training, and we’re proud to have hosted local agencies including Waumandee Montana Lincoln Fire Department, Alma Fire Department, and Buffalo County Wisconsin Sheriff's Office. Thank you to Riverland Technical College and Scott Holst for the presentation and doll house burn. Trainings like these are great for small communities.

It’s that time of year, please be smart about burning. The fire danger is now VERY HIGH in all of Buffalo County. While we do love what we do, let’s not meet under emergency circumstances! If you’re that excited to see your favorite firefighters, we do have a dinner tomorrow! Cochrane VFW 11-5.

In case you haven’t seen, the fire danger is climbing in our area despite the amount of snow we had last week. Please be mindful of weather conditions before burning. Conditions are prime in our area for Wildland fires.

Also, don’t forget to come visit us for lunch on Sunday at the VFW in Cochrane!
