Experience Matters! Some of you may remember me as your City Council representative for District 4 (8yrs), your Deputy Mayor for two terms. I have lived in Florida for over 52 yrs, Brevard County for over 42 yrs and the City of Cocoa for 17 years. My family has owned and operated small businesses in Brevard and the City of Cocoa since the early 1970’s. I currently own and operate the Sundancer Gal
lery which is located in Downtown Cocoa Village, this November will be twenty years in business. During my 16 years of community service, I have worked hard for you. If elected as your Mayor, my goal will be to help move forward with our vision for Cocoa’s future to bring new and positive ideas to the Council and the staff. I want to represent the diverse needs of all the citizens and be available to address any and all concerns. I want to attract new businesses, create new jobs for our citizens and become more business friendly. While serving on the City Council, I have had the opportunity to initiate economic development, beautification and code enforcement efforts to improve the cities appearance. I have actively participated in several projects including the completion of the Riverfront Park, Anderson Park, Fern and Prospect Park, several Downtown streetscape projects, US1 widening and 520 Streetscape projects. Also, I will continue to work on the Amtrak Station, Mooring field, Florida streetscape project and most importantly, build three new fire stations, these are some of the city’s oldest facilities. I have served on two State Boards, three County Boards, five City Boards. I feel that this gives me the knowledge and experience necessary to help guide our city. Education:
