The Camp Creek Fire is now showing 13 acres, this reduction is due to more accurate mapping, and remains 75% contained. This will be the final update unless significant changes occur.

It’s easy to get caught up chasing the next overlook or destination, but sometimes the best memories come from taking a short detour and slowing down.

Another successful day assisted by the favorable weather. Crews were able to clear around the power lines and power has been restored to the area. A hose lay has been established around half of the fire to assist with removing heat from the fire’s perimeter. Some crews and aviation resources were released to other fires in an effort to “right size the staffing.” Work will continue over the next few days to remove any heat that could threaten the perimeter. The fire is 16 acres and up to 75% containment.

Morrison Jeep Trail Update!

Heavy equipment has worked up to the third switchback preparing the trail surface and clearing out run off areas. That work will continue throughout the week as they prepare for blasting later in the month. A huge thanks to Wyoming State Trails and The Cody Field office Bureau of Land Management - Wyoming for their efforts toward this shared goal of rebuilding the Morrison Jeep Trail!
