Starting off Labor Day weekend with a bang!

This driver passed the officer doing over 90mph in a 70mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop, and immediately noticed significant signs of impairment from the driver.

A DUI investigation followed, and this driver was ultimately charged with DUI.

Plan ahead for a sober ride home, and probably don’t speed past marked patrol vehicles while doing 20+ over the limit!

Zero impairment related crashes or fatalities occurred during the Taste of Rathdrum event on Saturday!

A big thanks to the Rathdrum Police Department, Coeur d'Alene Police, and Idaho State Police for their participation in helping keep this event safe for all.

Always plan ahead for a sober ride home! While some people still chose to drive impaired, we’re grateful that those poor choices didn’t end in tragedy.

Did you know?

To drive an ATV on public roads, it must be registered, have a license plate displayed, have liability insurance, and you must possess a valid drivers license. There are also minimum equipment requirements to drive ATV’s on public roads.

This ATV was stopped by a member of the North Idaho DUI Task Force during the Taste of Rathdrum emphasis for not having a license plate displayed. The driver of the ATV showed signs of impairment, and was later arrested for DUI. They happened to have a sober passenger with them…

TASTE OF RATHDRUM!

The North Idaho DUI Task Force is out and conducting emphasis patrols in Rathdrum for the Taste of Rathdrum event and concert.

Plan ahead for a safe ride home. Tonight should be a fun time for the community to enjoy good food, cool cars, and live music. Don’t ruin the party by choosing to drive impaired!

A concerned citizen reported a vehicle on US-95 that was all over the road and crossing into oncoming lanes of traffic.

Officers intercepted the vehicle, and a DUI investigation revealed the driver was over three times the .08 limit to be driving! With the help of the concerned citizen calling in this dangerous driver, nobody was hurt due to this individual’s choice to drive impaired.

Impaired driving is a choice. Choose to plan ahead for a sober ride home!

ANOTHER wrong way driver, this time on Highway 41. Fortunately they were stopped before a potentially deadly head-on crash could occur.

This driver chose to put themselves and everyone else in danger, at well over double the blood alcohol limit of .08.

Make the choice to plan ahead, and not get behind the wheel impaired!
