What a crowd! Over 80 attended the reptile program at Coffeeville Public Library presented by Jackie Kerr from MS Museum of Natural Science June 1. Jackie’s program was fascinating, and the kids got to touch turtles and a corn snake. Thanks to everyone who came! More pics to come.

The “Unearth a Story” Summer Library Program for elementary age children starts Monday, June 1! Jackie Kerr from the MS Museum of Natural Science will present a LIVE REPTILE program at Oakland at 10:00 AM and at Coffeeville at 1:30 PM. The program is for SLP children, but we will welcome others as our space allows. 🐍🐊🦎🐢

The Coffeeville Chamber of Commerce will offer a concert series with food trucks this summer on the first Monday of each month. Bring your lawn chairs and join us for a fun time at the bandstand this Monday, June 1, 5:00-8:00. Matt and Blair Hughes will be there with their food truck with food to purchase. Clayton Horton with the Skuna Valley Male Chorus and others will provide musical entertainment. We are excited about a fun night for all and hope to see you there!

What a wonderful evening of food, laughter, and conversation our Spring Book Club at Coffeeville Public Library shared as we discussed the novel Theo of Golden by Allen Levi. Jackie Kerr from the MS Museum of Natural Science will be back in our libraries with LIVE REPTILES on Monday, June 1, for our first Summer Library Program. She will be at Oakland at 10 AM and Coffeeville at 1:30 PM. Visit Coffeeville or Oakland library today to register elementary age children in our “Unearth a Story” Summer Library Program. The Visitor Education Center (VEC) at MDWFP's Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery invites youth ages 10 - 15 to join us for Fish Camp!

📆: June 10, 2026
⏰️: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
📍: Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery Visitor Education Center

The full day camp will include fish identification, water safety tips, a tour of the hatchery, and catfish fishing in the hatchery’s Visitor Education Center (VEC)
pond! Participants will also meet a National Park Service Ranger and learn more about the Jr. Angler Badge!

The program is free but space is limited so pre-registration is required! To pre-register call the VEC at (662) 563-8068 or email [email protected] to receive a registration form.
