🚨 Notice: Montgomery County Courthouse Closed Tomorrow Due to Winter Weather 🚨

Due to the expected winter weather conditions, the Montgomery County Courthouse will be closed on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The safety of our community and staff is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding during this time.

While the courthouse will be closed, Montgomery County Dispatch and Patrol will remain operational to ensure public safety and emergency response services continue without interruption. Zoom Court in the morning will still be going.

Please stay safe, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay informed through official county channels for any further updates.

❄❄Not only are we expecting a hefty snowfall in Indy, strong winds are forecast for the next few days. This will make for blizzard-like or "white out" conditions, making visibility difficult and driving dangerous.

If you have the flexibility to stay home during the peak of the storm, do it.

If not, consider these important safety tips:
- Make sure your vehicle is weather-ready with appropriately inflated tires with good tread; plenty of fuel; packed with warm clothes and blankets; equipped with a phone charger, ice scraper and flash light.
- Leave early and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.
- Keep your headlights on.
- Take it slow and leave plenty of distance between yours and other vehicles.
- Avoid "shortcuts" on roads or streets that may not be cleared, and stick to main thoroughfares.
- Make sure a loved one or friend knows your travel plans and route.
- If you're planning to travel a long distance, check road conditions along the entire route before heading out.

The Montgomery County Health Department will be closed Tuesday February 18th due to inclement weather. There will be NO WIC in Independence on this date! Please call the office at 620 251 4210 to reschedule your WIC appointment. Please take safety measures during this extreme winter weather.

Due to severe weather conditions, all Montgomery County offices will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, to ensure the safety of residents and staff.

Additionally, the scheduled commission meeting for tomorrow evening has been canceled.
