It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the line-of-duty death of Boston Firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr., who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the people of Boston on May 23, 2026.

Firefighter Kilduff embodied courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to his brothers and sisters in the fire service and to the community he proudly protected. His loss is immeasurable.

Rest easy Brother, Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, on International Firefighters Day, we take a moment to recognize and honor, the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of firefighters around the world. Local 2804 extends our deepest gratitude to all firefighters, past and present, for their unwavering commitment to service and for the resilience they show in the moments when others need the most. Thank you to all firefighters for your service, strength, and selflessness.

Hey everyone, we are pleased to announce that Fire Fighter on Probabtion (FFOP) Jacob Johnson has successfully graduated from the Massachusetts Fire Academy this past week. We would like to congratulate him and we are looking forward to him joining the department to complete the rest of his probationary period with us.

Hey everyone!

We wanted to say thank you to those of you who have helped clear away the snow around the hydrants in town thus far. We encourage anyone who happens to see a hydrant still buried under the snow to help us out and clear it. Doing this will save precious time needed for firefighting operations. We hope you all have been staying warm and safe in this weather.

Today marks Firefighter On Probation (FFOP) Johnson’s last shift before he attends the Massachusetts Fire Academy for the next 10 weeks. We wish him the best of luck, and we are looking forward to him joining the department after he has completed his training.

Additionally today, FFOP Marrocco has Graduated from the Massachusetts Fire Academy. We would like to congratulate him on his success at the academy. He will be starting back up on Monday to complete his probationary period.

The Cohasset Food Pantry and Local 2804 would like to thank all that donated so far! We appreciate all the help and support you all have provided. We will still be collecting for the month of December for those of you who have not had the chance to donate or if those of you who have already donated would like to make another donation. You can bring the donations to the Cohasset Fire Station at 44 Elm Street. Also we would like to share that the Cohasset Police Department will be doing a toys for tots drive during December so please help them as well if you are able to and donate to that as well.
