Every child deserves that feeling of being prepared, confident, and ready to learn!
The Connect Center is gearing up for our Back-to-School Distribution Event, and we are running a dual mission to support our community! 👇

We have 50 pre-filled backpacks ready to go!

Know someone who would be a great addition to the Connect Center Board? Maybe it’s you. 👀

We’re looking for a Secretary to join our Board of Directors and bring their experience, perspective, and leadership to the Connect Center.

This volunteer leadership role is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, reliable, a strong communicator, and interested in supporting the work we’re doing with youth and families in our community.

🕒 Approximately 4–8 hours per month

A big thank you to Whitney Young Health for spending time with us at the Connect Center! 💙

Having community partners on-site gives our youth and families another opportunity to connect with helpful information, resources, and support right where they are.

Some of the most important people at the Connect Center aren’t always the ones you see. ❤️

Yesterday, we got to spend a little time celebrating some of the volunteers who show up, lend a hand, and help make so much of what happens here possible.

Our volunteer appreciation lunch was simply a chance to gather around the table, enjoy some good food, and say thank you.

We’re grateful for every person who chooses to give their time to the Connect Center and our community. We couldn’t do this work without you. 💙

Today is our LAST pantry day until late September. 🛒

Our pantry is open today until 2 PM, and after today, we’ll be closed for several weeks for cleaning and restocking.

If you need to visit the pantry, please plan to stop by before we close today.

If you have a student in grades 6–12, this is a great way to spend part of their Monday!

We’re hosting a FREE CareerZone Workshop with the New York State Department of Labor where your student can explore different career paths while getting hands-on with AI, virtual reality, and digital tools.

Give them a chance to try something new, learn about careers they may not have considered, and have some fun while doing it.

🌮 We’ve reached out to some of the Capital Region’s best taco spots… but we’re pretty sure we missed a few.

Now we’re asking for your help.

We expect to resume normal programming and pantry hours tomorrow.
