Library Hours Update – Effective August 1, 2026
The Lincoln County Library System has made the difficult decision to reduce open hours at our library locations due to changes in available funding following property tax reductions enacted by the Wyoming Legislature.
Beginning August 1, 2026, library hours will be:
Monday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
We understand that changes to library hours affect our communities, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. These adjustments allow us to continue providing library services, programs, and resources throughout Lincoln County while working within our available budget.
The Lincoln County Library System remains committed to serving our communities and providing access to books, technology, educational resources, and programs for all ages.
Looking ahead, voters will have an opportunity in November to consider a ballot proposal that would further reduce property taxes by 25%. Additional reductions in revenue could create further challenges for public services, including libraries.
