Vermont Army National Guard

Vermont Army National Guard The official page of the Vermont Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion However, we ask that you follow our posting guidelines here.

The men and women of the Vermont National Guard are dedicated, combat ready citizen soldiers, committed to serving their community, state, and nation, while facing future challenges and opportunities united in spirit as one Guard. The Vermont Army National Guard went through many reorganizations in the 1960s. The Vermont Guard went from being part of the 43rd Division to the 50th Armored Division

and in 1988 the Brigade rejoined the 26th Yankee Division. At the present time, Vermont's Brigade is part of the 42nd Infantry Division. Vermont has a unique history of citizen soldiers that goes back to the beginning of the country. Tracing their legacy to the Green Mountain Boys of the Revolutionary War, today's Vermont National Guard is as relevant today as it carries on the militia tradition in our nation's defense. 💰 YOUR REFERRAL COULD BE WORTH $1,000!

The Joint Enlistment Enhancement Program (JEEP) gives eligible members of the Vermont National Guard community an opportunity to become a Recruiting Assistant and earn an incentive for helping qualified individuals join the Vermont National Guard.

JEEP is a Vermont State program designed to increase enlistments and accessions by rewarding eligible non-recruiters who help connect future Soldiers and Airmen with the Guard.

💵 $1,000 INCENTIVE
Recruiting Assistants may receive $1,000 for a qualifying:

• Non-Prior Service enlistment — paid upon shipping to initial training, as applicable
• Prior Service accession — paid upon accession, if qualified
• Interstate Transfer — same payment criteria as Prior Service

🤝 WHAT DOES A RECRUITING ASSISTANT DO?
It’s more than simply providing a name. The Recruiting Assistant must provide the lead and remain available to the prospect from initial contact throughout the enlistment process, up to the beginning of Initial Entry Training.

✅ WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
• Vermont National Guard Soldiers and Airmen
• Military retirees
• Federal civilian employees of the Vermont National Guard
• Members of the State Guard of Vermont

🚫 WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE?
• Personnel whose primary duty is recruiting, including those on temporary recruiting orders
• Personnel assigned to junior or senior ROTC duties
• Currently serving Vermont National Guard members in the grade of O-5 or above
• Immediate family members of individuals who are not eligible under the program

You already know what service in the Vermont National Guard can offer. Now you can help someone else discover that opportunity—and get rewarded for helping them take the first step.

Know someone who could be a great fit for the Vermont National Guard? Make the connection. Help build the force. Earn $1,000.

📲 Contact your unit or Recruiting & Retention team to learn more about participating in JEEP.
