The Colchester Community Food Shelf will be open on Wednesday, October 29, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

GARDENERS: Thank you to all of the local gardeners who have been sharing their additional bounty with those most in need. Access to fresh, local, and nutritious vegetables can be challenging for our families, and they truly appreciate your efforts and generosity. If you find yourself with excess vegetables, the following keep well and would be appreciated: green or wax beans, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, carrots, potatoes, zucchini, and squash.

BRING REUSABLE BAGS: HELP US HELP YOU!
When you bring your reusable bags to the Food Shelf, it’s a win-win! It helps us pack your groceries with ease and allows us to focus our resources on what matters most—providing food for our community. Together, we can reduce waste and ensure every dollar goes further to support families in need. Thank you for partnering with us!

DONATIONS

Thanksgiving Food Drive: A New/Easy Way to Give

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, the Colchester Community Food Shelf is kicking off its annual food drive to help local families in need. This year, we anticipate providing Thanksgiving meals to nearly 200 Colchester households — and we need your support to make that possible!

We’re excited to introduce a NEW and easy way to give through GiftDrive, a secure online platform developed by UVM students to help nonprofits receive the specific items they need most.

Using GiftDrive, you can select and purchase Thanksgiving food items online, and they’ll be shipped directly to the Colchester Food Shelf at no cost to you.

Our Thanksgiving Wish List:

Canned Corn
Canned Green Beans
Instant Mashed Potatoes
Stuffing Mix
Gravy
Cranberry Sauce
Thanks to how GiftDrive sources products, many items are actually less expensive than at the grocery store — making it a quick, affordable, and meaningful way to give back this Thanksgiving. Visit https://www.giftdrive.org/drive/194 to donate!
