💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜DV is widespread, and it impacts every community.

📊 Each year, 1.3 million women and 835,000 men experience physical violence by a partner (U.S. DOJ).
📊 About 3 in 10 women and 1 in 10 men have reported experiencing intimate partner violence that harmed their health, safety, or significantly impacted their daily functioning (CDC).

These numbers represent real people — friends, coworkers, family members, and teammates.

Awareness is just the first step. Showing up with consistent support and solidarity is how we help create lasting change.

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

👉What is domestic violence?
Domestic violence is a pattern of behaviors that one person uses to gain power and control over another in a relationship. This can include hurting them physically, controlling money, isolating them from friends, or using threats, intimidation, or technology to cause harm.

👉Who does DV affect?
Anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, or background.
It can happen in dating, marriage, families, friendships, or caregiving.

⚠️ DV is never okay. Whether it’s one incident or years of abuse, every experience matters, and every survivor deserves safety, support, and solidarity.
