In addition to our public parks and athletic fields, the Grounds department is also responsible for maintaining access to town water main easements. These access routes are essential for allowing crews to inspect, maintain and respond to repairs on underground water infrastructure when needed.

Thank you to Katherine Kosiba, the Faski's and our grounds crew for getting more mulch spread out around the gazebo and replanting a couple of broken shrubs. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful gem right in the center of town. Get out and enjoy a picnic or ice cream before the rain!

Getting Ready for Voting Day! It's not all field and park maintenance, our grounds department also supports town operations in a lot of different ways. Recently, our crew has been preparing and updating voting signage for the upcoming budget referendum. Making sure they are clean, clear, and ready to go out across town.

Our grounds department often partners with the Colchester Garden Club to assist with larger projects. Recently we worked together to remove dead and declining boxwoods from the garden beds at Cragin Library. Over time these shrubs had deteriorated and were no longer contributing to the overall health or appearance of the space. Our crew handled the removal and cleanup to help prepare the area for future improvements and replanting.
