As you finish your Halloween MRE Tootsie Rolls, M&Ms, and chicklets, it’s time to think about squirreling away the Turkey loaf and Ham slices from your C-Rations in preparation for the holidays.

The 172nd paved the way for this seven days earlier with 1st Lieutenant Robert Scott’s Medal of Honor action on Shimuzu Hill overlooking Munda Field

Vermont’s 172nd Infantry would only support the final capture as it was resting from a month of continuous combat from the time it landed on Zambia Beach on 3 and 4 July, 1943

We will close for the Friday holiday of July 4th. Enjoy the day, keep your musket clean and your powder dry.

We will be open for regular hours and days 8-11 July.

Great news for our veterans

Great news for our veterans

Today I signed S.51 into law, which includes tax breaks for workers, families and seniors. It also fully exempts military retirement income up to $125,000 and tapers off for those receiving more.

A military retirement income tax exemption is something I, and many others, have long advocated for.

To all the members of our military, past and present, thank you for your service to our country. We live in freedom because of the sacrifices you’ve made to protect that.
