This past week, Local 4060 members Aaron Weiner, Duane Johnson, Kurtis Stanton and Zack Zeefe completed the BGSU Trench Rescue Technician course. This course gave the members the knowledge and skills to mitigate trench collapse and perform trench rescue. Great work gentlemen!

Today at 0730, marks the end of an incredible chapter as Dave Weghorn completes his final shift and begins a new journey alongside his wife and daughter.

Dave's years of service, dedication, and steady presence have left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate to work alongside him. Through the years, he has given so much of himself- not only through his commitment and professionalism, but through the relationships built and the positive influence he had on those around him.

While it's never easy to say goodbye to someone who has meant so much, we're excited for Dave as he begins this next chapter focused on family, new experiences, and making memories with those closest to him.

Thank you, Dave, for your years of service, your leadership, and the countless ways you made a difference. Your impact will not be forgotten, and you will truly be missed.

Wishing you and your family nothing but happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead. Enjoy this well-earned next chapter!

Firefighter Dave Weghorn is hanging up his helmet after an incredible career of service.
Dave began serving this community in 1997 with the Cold Spring–Crestview Fire Department as its first Explorer/Junior Firefighter. He continued as a volunteer before being hired full-time as a Firefighter/Paramedic, a role in which he served for nearly 15 years.
Throughout his career, Dave has been instrumental in training countless firefighters, paramedics, and engineers. His dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact not only within Central Campbell, but across the fire service as a whole.
We are truly grateful for his commitment and the legacy he leaves behind.
To show our appreciation, we invite friends, family, past and present coworkers, students, and community members to join us in celebrating Dave on his last day.

Dave's last day is June 11th. Please stop by anytime. We will be grilling out at the Firehouse for lunch between 11:30 and 2:00 if you want some food!
