🚒🔥 Training tonight = being ready tomorrow. 🔥🚒

Last night, our crew took some time to practice our deployment skills from the truck. This is an important part of our monthly training that helps us stay sharp on the procedures we use when responding to a fire.

For these drills, our firefighters go through realistic scenarios in full gear and on air, treating the training as if it were the real deal. Everyone gets the opportunity to work through a scenario or two, putting our skills and procedures to the test.

It’s also a great opportunity to practice loading hose, deploying hose, and working together as a crew. These may seem like simple tasks, but being able to do them quickly and efficiently when the pressure is on is critical.

These are the kinds of essential trainings we work on every month to keep our firefighters ready, prepared, and confident for whatever call may come our way. 💪🚒

Because when the alarm sounds, training takes over. 🔥

🚒🧼 The trucks are getting their Sunday best! 🧼🚒

We’re spending the morning getting the trucks washed, polished, and s**c and span for tomorrow’s parade! ✨

Let’s be honest… the trucks might be getting a little more attention than the firefighters usually do. 😂 But when you’re rolling through the parade, you’ve got to look good!

We’re excited to be part of the St. Boniface Parish Festival and can’t wait to see everyone out enjoying the festivities tonight! 🎉

Then tomorrow, we’ll be rolling through the parade with our freshly cleaned trucks and big smiles. 🚒🇺🇸

🚒💦 What a night! 💦🚒

Last night, our department had a blast participating in Kimball’s Water Ball Tournament! It was a great night of friendly competition, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of water! 💧🔥

A huge THANK YOU to the Kimball Fire & Rescue for hosting such a fun event and bringing everyone together. We appreciate all the hard work that goes into putting something like this on!

And a big CONGRATULATIONS to the Top 3 teams! 🏆👏 You guys put on a great showing!

Vehicle extrication is an essential skill for a fire department to master. Practicing this skill is difficult without partners like Automotive Parts Solutions - APS. They provided the vehicle for training this month, so we can be ready when called upon. THANK YOU APS. We couldn’t do it without you!

Fires involving combustion engine cars can be particularly difficult. The evolution of electric and hybrid vehicles has brought new challenges. We must be fully prepared. Thank you to Scott Carriveau at Customized Fire Rescue Training for providing valuable insight tonight.
