It’s a perfect night for a concert at the Town Gazebo! Bring your chairs and something cold to drink for a free night out😊🎸🎤
I want to thank everyone for their kind comments and I am so thankful that our Lord parted the storms so we could celebrate the Fourth of July, our Country’s Birthday!🎉
Our Town Park is a great place to celebrate a birthday and it was a huge success. I can’t thank Kalie Brautlacht, our Parks Department employee, enough. She had the park looking so beautiful for our event! I also would like to thank members of the Colden Fire Company who provided standby emergency services and kept everyone safe during the event with the help of our Brothers from the West Falls Fire Company. I want to thank our Town Board for supporting our community and this great event! I hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July!🎉💫💥
I have attached a song that resonated with me. I’m glad everyone enjoyed their evening.
I love our Town of Colden!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

As the driving bans are lifted in Erie County I urge everyone to please stay away from Buffalo! They are trying to deal with the aftermath of this horrible situation and they don’t need additional problems to deal with! As Town Supervisor I have been on several calls and my heart aches for the leadership, emergency personnel and residents who are dealing with this!
Please Stay Out of Buffalo 🦬!
May God Bless and Protect the People of Buffalo!
Jim
From National Fuel-If possible, please check your furnace and vent pipes to make sure they are clear of snow and ice build up to reduce the chance of Carbon Monoxide incidents.

Colden Citizens, Landowners, Business & Agricultural/Farm Residents, as you may know the Town's Planning Board, under the guidance of our Town Board, has retained the services of specialized consultants to assist in the creation of a compliant Comprehensive Plan for the Town. The Comprehensive Plan can, and does, impact future planning for business activities in Colden. We are also creating Colden's first Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan which is critical to encourage continued and evolving agriculture and farm activities in Colden of large, moderate, and even Hobby Farm sizes. Ag is important to everyone who eats food! The Ag plan also gives protection guidance support for Colden's existing Right To Farm local law. These plans are important in that they supply high level guidance for the decade going forward. YOUR feedback is important. We recommend the use of the online method since it enters your feelings directly, but all landowners were sent the Colden Spring Newsletter about a week ago and a hardcopy of the two surveys was included as an insert for those who prefer to NOT do it online. Also the online method lets citizens mark the location of Ag and Ag-supply parcels which are related to our farming citizens either directly or indirectly as suppliers and such. We look forward to your valuable feedback so that it can be considered for each plan. There will be two more in-person sessions over the next many months where citizens can see a presentation of the plan as well as offer additional feedback on the approved draft documents. SEE THE PDF FILE BELOW. Regards, Walt Kammer, Chairman, Planning Board, Town of Colden.

Please be aware of this situation! Be safe!
The Wind has taken wire’s down on Heath road between Frantz Rd and Hayes Hollow Rd. Nyseg is on location waiting for the county to clear the road. Once the area is cleared Nyseg has to replace poles that broke from the wind and replace the wires. It will be a large project so please avoid the area while driving by using finch rd.
Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience
Tonight’s meeting code for the monthly meeting is 795764661. Sorry for the mixup
Erie County Emergency Services issued masks and Covid self test’s. Masks and Tests will be available in the Town Clerks office and the Supervisors office at Colden Town Hall for Colden Residents while supplies last. Town hall hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Please share this information with your neighbors!
Have a great day,
Jim DePasquale
Erie County is in receipt of additional test kits for the general population, again like last time, it is nowhere near the amount we need to give one test to every person within Erie County. Unlike last time however, we understand it was a strain on your municipal resources, so this time the County has decided to distribute these kits through the library system. Erie County will notify residents when these kits will be available at their libraries and what documentation is needed to obtain said kits. In addition, we recommend that you push the federal governments website (https://www.covidtests.gov/) to have your residents order in home test kits that way as well.
Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. The tests are completely free. Orders will usually ship in 7-12 days.
All Colden garbage pick-up will be pushed back one day due to the weather. Pick-up will now be on Wednesday for this week only.
Hi everyone, this is Jim DePasquale. Tonight at 6:30pm I will be sending out our first CodeRED alert, which will be conveyed through call, text or email. The Town will be using the CodeRED system to inform as many of the residents as possible should any emergency arise. We will also use this system when the town needs to get other important information to the residents. Any resident can sign up for the CodeRED system on our town website at www.townofcolden.com by clicking on the CodeRED link.
IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY PLEASE SIGN UP FOR CODE RED
https://www.townofcolden.com/site/codered-emergency-notification-system
To send critical communications to residents and businesses in Colden. The system provides the ability to quickly deliver messages to targeted areas or the entire town.
I’d like to thank all of the residents that came out to the Colden Fire Company today to pick up Covid test kits. Unfortunately, we were only given a small amount and we passed out all 134 test kits that the county had given us today. Thank you to Gerry Pietraszek, Jesse Hrycik, Ron Smith, Megan Jurecki & Carrie DePasquale for packaging and distributing the kits. We apologize if you were not able to get one today. We wish the county had given us enough for everyone and if we do receive another allotment, we will do this again. There are still a limited number of KN95 masks available at town hall during business hours if you wish to pick some up. Stay healthy!
