Could it be that time of year again? I suppose it is! Go shake your mailbox while it’s warm this week…just tell the neighbors you wanted to go dancing but couldn’t find a date!

Girard voters, there is an opportunity for early voting. So, if November 3 doesn’t work for you, please do vote. But remember, our election workers in Girard are great people and they sure would enjoy seeing you. After all, a busy day goes much faster than a slow day. Come out and get your “I Voted” sticker with us!

Oh…and don’t mind the “AI content” label. Yes, I use Grok to create the graphics so I can get your attention! 😉

Good day, in the Girard Township FB world. It's that time of the month again when I announce the monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees, some of you like the post, but mostly the same people attend the meeting every month. (We like those people, so we feel confident we would like you, too.) Some people even claim our meetings are informative!

What's holding you back? Are you afraid the month to month business of the township is so riveting, you won't want to leave? Afraid to miss Monday Night Football? Or is it the lack of fresh coffee? That's probably it. But if that's your barrier, I can provide coffee, just let me know ahead of time.

The monthly Board of Trustees meeting runs the day to day (riveting) business of the township. It will occur on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 7:00 pm. The address is 1009 Marshall Road, and I have checked--Google Maps has the right directions.

Girard Township residents are eligible to participate. Follow the link in the original post for details!

This is another great example of services offered at HC Burnside Center. If you find navigating Medicare challenging (and who doesn’t?), their counselors might be able to help.

Medicare open enrollment begins October 15 and our expert counselors are here to help. Please call to make an appointment!

The Burnside Senior Center offers a wide array of activities and services. From activities like cards and games, exercises, to meals and other services, it’s an important resource in our community. We encourage our seniors to check it out!

We'll be welcoming fall at this month's special luncheon!
