Hello my little Cavs! I’ve been terrible getting on Facebook and updating! Welcome back! It’s going to be a wonderful school year! I have seen many of you already. I know Cookie and Quest were excited! They have been lonely this summer! I look forward to all of our adventures!
One of the biggest new adventures is Mrs Froning is going to be teaming with me and we will be teaching SEL lessons that go along with our character word of the month! I’m looking forward to that!

Wow! Another year has come and gone! I’m going to miss all of you over the summer! The library has been so quiet the last few weeks….pretty boring just doing inventory but I got it done! I also rearranged our books and labeled our shelves! I’m looking forward to showing you next year!
Our middle school/high school librarian Mrs Greber shared this with me and I want to share this with you!!!! I want you to keep reading all summer and I wanted to share some of the amazing rewards you can earn for doing just that! Pretty cool right! 😎 📕

My little Cavs!!!! I hope you enjoyed today!!!! I know I did! Mrs Scott is exhausted but happy! Your smiles and laughs brightened my day so much. It was so amazing to see you so excited about our author and of course Mr Red Legs! He was wonderful wasn’t he?! He sure made himself comfortable in my library. lol! 😆😂

My Little Cavs!!!! You have gone above and beyond my expectations with your rainforest displays! I’m so proud of you! They look amazing! I cannot wait to go on a safari! Keep reading! On Friday I hope to share how many minutes we have read all together as a school! Hello my little Cavs! I am so excited! Next week is one of my favorite weeks of the year! Right to Read week! I LOVE this week because it encourages you to READ in a fun and exciting way! Our theme next week is Reading Through the Rainforest! We have so many things planned! Guessing jars, a visit from our author Joel Altman, and don't forget to read for those prizes that were donated by the amazing people in our community! I'm so grateful for all of the support! We could not do this week without you!
I would like to thank the PTO! They made it possible for our author Joel Altman and a very SPECIAL guest from the Cincinnati Reds to come to our school on Wednesday, May 7th to talk to our students.

Big things happening in the library! 📚
In fourth grade we are reading the book “Things Seen from Above,” by Shelley Pearsall.
A heartwarming novel about how a shift in perspective can change everything. This brilliant novel celebrates kids who see the world a little differently.

In third grade we are reading “Matilda,” by Roald Dahl.
The classic story written in 1988, about an exceptional young girl with extraordinary powers. After we finish the book we will watch the movie that was made in 1996.

In second grade we are reading “Superfudge,” by Judy Blume.
Superfudge is a funny, smart, and honest novel about sibling rivalry. Once we finish the book we will watch the movie that was made in 1991 on VHS 😁 a great history lesson

In first grade I am introducing chapter books by reading “Cam Jansen and the Catnapping Mystery,” by David A Adler.
Cam, short for camera, is a nickname for a little girl named Jennifer who can remember anything with her photographic memory. In this book, Cam is visiting her aunt Molly at a hotel when one of the guests' luggage and beloved cat, Little Tiger, go missing.

In kindergarten we are reading books about Spring, which cannot come soon enough! We have read “Springtime is Here,” by Will Hillenbrand and “It’s Spring!” by Linda Glaser.

🎉🎉We are having so much fun! I’m ready for warm weather! I cannot believe we are in the last nine weeks! The library will be closing May 2nd to do inventory. The last day to check out books will be April 16 and all books will be due back April 25. I’ll remind everyone again as we get closer.
