The winds being out of the South East and the nature of the control burns is sending lots of smoke across Comanche County. Thank you all and have a safe day.

It's National Telecommunicators Week!!! It's time to celebrate our dispatchers: Amanda Brosius, Emily Brosius, Michelle Burt, Crystalynn Monroe and Mark Shinn. Sheriff Jacob Bruckner and Undersheriff Jesse Brumbaugh also deserve recognition for supporting us and filling in whenever we need them.

The dispatchers asked for a week of comfort as their reward, so that is what we are doing! The dress code has been suspended. If you come in and see the crew in fuzzy flannel pajama bottoms, t-shirts and shorts, sweatshirts/sweatpants or whatever attire they feel happy and relaxed in, just know they have earned the privilege.

When you see one of our dispatchers this week, let them know you appreciate their dedication and abilities. This county is very fortunate to have these individuals answering 911 calls and supporting the other emergency services providers in our county.
