It takes a community to get our kids ready for a great school year, and Coldwater showed up!

Thank you to CBPU for their $1,000 donation, the Employee Club of Lakeland Correctional Facility, our City of Coldwater and CBPU employees, and everyone who donated supplies. Together, we were able to provide our local elementary schools with the supplies they need to support students throughout the school year.

We’re proud to be part of a community that continues to show up for its schools and its kids. Here’s to a fantastic school year!

Beginning Monday, August 24, MDOT and contractor C&D Hughes, Inc. will begin concrete pavement repairs on US-12 at the I-69 interchange, from Michigan Avenue to Willowbrook Road. Work is expected to continue through Friday, October 9.

Lane closures will be in place during construction. Please slow down and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

Our Gravestone Cleaning Workshop was a Success! 🪦

Yesterday’s seminar and hands-on workshop provided valuable information about the proper care and preservation of gravestones. Participants learned that you cannot clean a gravestone that does not belong to your family without first obtaining proper permission. It’s also important to have the proper supplies and knowledge to ensure the stone is cleaned safely and appropriately.

Thank you to Bobbie Mathis, Randall Hazelbaker, and our DMS/Cemetery Crew for helping make yesterday’s workshop both informative and hands-on!

The City and CBPU will close City Hall at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in observance of Director Scheid's funeral.

The Henry L. Brown Municipal Building will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12.
