We are in the middle of summer, and parades are in full swing! Be on the lookout for us as we pass out some amazing stickers from our coloring contest winners. Mercer County Right to Life sponsors a booth at the Mercer County Fair each year, with the help of local volunteers, to help promote the Pro-Life cause. The 2024 fair is August 8th-14th and the shifts are 2 ½ hours to 2 hours and 45 mins. We prefer that two people work each shift. If anyone is interested in getting involved, if you have questions, or to find out which shifts are available, please call or text Sarah Post at 419-852-6509. Thank you!!

We will be putting these up on billboards on I-280 going north and going south in Toledo. We will also have a sign on Route 6 in Huron. These will be up during the months of October and November. We are hoping to get enough donations to purchase another billboard in Sheffield Village, near Cleveland.

First Baby Born on Mother's Day. Mark and Kayla Kaiser welcomed a baby boy named Miles Howard on May 14th, two days after Mother's Day. They were gifted a crocheted afghan from Mercer County Right to Life. Miles was welcomed home by his two brothers and sister in Ft. Recovery. Congratulations to the whole family on their precious gift from God!

Mercer County Right to Life invites young artists aged 2-10 to participate in our vibrant coloring contest celebrating LIFE. The contest will run from now until May 24, 2024.

**COMING SOON ~1-2weeks**Coloring pages are available while supplies last at select area churches and libraries.

Alternatively, you can easily download the PDF from our website, www.MercerLife.org, or our page.

To enter, simply photograph or scan your artwork and email it to [email protected]. Five winners will be chosen, and their designs will be transformed into stickers to be distributed at local parades and the Mercer County Fair. Each winner will also receive 10 stickers to enjoy.

All submissions will be showcased periodically in our newsletter and on our page. Don't forget to complete the submission details!

The whole pro-life movement is needed to make this a reality! Some focus on making it unavailable (in politics, for example), while others focus on making it unthinkable (that's what we do!). Both are so important and necessary for the other to work.

Friends for Life,

We want to wish each and every one of you a Happy and Blessed Easter! May the joy of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ bring you hope and peace!

The Resurrection of our Lord is proof that, despite the Culture of Death we battle each day, Christ has the final word. His Resurrection then breathes life and hope into our fight for life and the Resurrection reminds us, that in the end, Christ is triumphant over death.

With the defeat of sin and death, the cross now becomes an essential sign of life. As Bishop Fulton Sheen reminds us,

​“If we leave the Cross out of the Life of Christ, we have nothing and certainly not ​Christianity. For the Cross is related to our sins. Christ was our ‘stand-in’ on the stage of life. ​He took our guilt as if He were guilty and thus paid the debt that sin deserved, namely, ​death. This made possible our resurrection to a ‘new life’ in Him.”

We pray then that Christ may find renewed, open hearts in each of us, ready to proclaim His Resurrection and love! The battle for life will rage on, but may we never forget the grace of Christ so that we will always be mindful of who has won the victory.

Be assured of our prayers for you and your families for a blessed and joyful Easter season.

2024 MERCER COUNTY RIGHT TO LIFE ORATORY CONTEST FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Mercer County RTL will facilitate their annual Oratory Contest for all juniors and seniors living in Mercer County. Contestants are asked to research, write, and present an original pro-life speech on ONE of the following: abortion, infanticide, or euthanasia that is 5-7 minutes in length. Contestants are to submit a video entry of their speech by February 17th to [email protected]. Please look for a confirmation email upon receiving your submission. All contestants who submit a video entry will receive a $100 participation prize! The top 6 contestants will be invited to present on March 10th at the Preferred Insurance Center in Coldwater at 1:00 pm. The prize amounts for the top 6 finalists who present on March 10th are as follows: 1st place: $1,000, 2nd place: $750, 3rd place: $500, 4th – 6th place: $250.
