Comanche County Ambulance Service Comanche County Ambulance Service provides emergency medical response to Comanche County using 911 dispatch.

Comanche EMS is a volunteer service with personnel in Coldwater and Protection. Comanche EMS has paramedic response available for the entire county responding from Coldwater. Comanche EMS provides ALS and BLS transfer service from Comanche County Hospital to Appropriate facilities. Comanche County Ambulance Service is an Approved Training Center for American Safety & Health Institute offering CPR, AED, First Aid, and Child and Babysitting Safety classes.

🚑 EMS Week 2026 🚑

This week, we recognize the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of Emergency Medical Services providers everywhere. Day and night, our EMS volunteers answer the call to serve their communities with skill, courage, and heart.

Thank you to all our EMS volunteers for the sacrifices you make and the lives you impact every single day. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.

Beginning April 1st and continuing through April 22nd, the Comanche County Sheriff's Office as well as the Comanche County Fire Department., Comanche County KS 911 Dispatchers and Comanche County Ambulance Service are again participating in Battle of the Badge, a donation drive for hygiene items to be utilized by the Family Crisis Center. Examples of items needed are listed below, and can be dropped off with a member of any department.
