NOTICE:
Cat Traps Available

Beginning August 3rd, the City of Coldwater will have live cat traps available for residents to borrow to humanely capture stray and feral cats. These traps are part of the City's ongoing effort to address the growing stray cat population in a safe and humane manner.

Cat owners are responsible for ensuring their own cats are properly cared for and can be identified. If your cat is allowed outdoors, please take appropriate steps to prevent it from being mistaken for a stray.

In accordance with the City’s current ordinances, no household may keep more than four (4) cats or feed stray or feral cats. Food left outdoors not only encourages the stray cat population to increase, but also attracts nuisance wildlife such as skunks, raccoons, and opossums.

For cat trap availability, borrowing instructions, or additional information, please contact City Hall during normal business hours. The City of Coldwater appreciates everyone's cooperation in helping reduce the stray cat population and keeping our community clean, safe, and healthy.
