🌟 Meet Mathis! 🌟

From teaching swim lessons to making memories with the rest of the lifeguard team, Mathis is one of the friendly faces helping make the Colfax City Pool a great place to spend the summer.

Mathis is 17 years old and enjoys writing music in his free time. 🎵 One of his favorite parts about working at the pool is teaching swim lessons and helping kids build confidence in the water. He also loves the fun and friendships that come from working alongside the other lifeguards.

Be sure to say hi to Mathis next time you're at the pool! ☀️🏊‍♂️

For just $500, your business or organization can sponsor a Midnight Swim and help provide a fun, safe, and memorable experience for local youth and families.

Help your swimmer build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun in the water this summer!

⚠️ Delayed Opening Notice – June 11, 2026 ⚠️

Due to chlorine levels that are currently too high for safe swimming, the Colfax City Pool will have a delayed opening today, June 11, 2026.

Our staff is closely monitoring the water and waiting for the chemical levels to return to the proper range before we can safely welcome swimmers back.

We will provide updates as soon as we know more about reopening. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to keep everyone safe.

🥶 Pool Closure Notice 6/10/26🥶

Due to today's cold temperatures and weather conditions, the Colfax City Pool will be closed today.

The safety and comfort of our swimmers, staff, and lifeguards is always our top priority. While we know everyone is excited to enjoy the pool this summer, today's weather makes for less-than-ideal swimming conditions.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming everyone back as soon as the weather cooperates. Please keep an eye on our page for updates regarding reopening and future schedule changes.

🏊‍♀️ Meet Sarah Mortensen, Our New Water Exercise Instructor! 🏊‍♀️

We are excited to welcome Sarah Mortensen to the Colfax City Pool team!

Sarah was born in California and grew up with five sisters and two brothers. Her family moved often before eventually settling in Western Washington. She attended BYU, where she earned a degree in Physical Education.

Sarah has been married for nearly 25 years and is the proud mother of two children. Swimming has been a lifelong passion for her. She competed on her high school swim team, where her favorite events were the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly, although she often found herself racing the 200 and 500 Freestyle as well.

Since 2020, Sarah has been coaching swimming and helping others build confidence, strength, and a love for the water. She is excited to bring that experience to Colfax and help our community stay active and healthy through water exercise.
