Warm Christmas Greetings! The library will be closed on Thursday, December 24 & Friday, December 25. We will reopen Saturday, December 26.
Next week, we will close on Thursday, December 31 & Friday, January 1, & will reopen Saturday, January 2.

What a great community evening at the library Friday night, with almost 150 people visiting Santa, Noel the Reindeer, and TJ the Elf! Special thanks to Kayse for the decorating, and Kayse and Sarah for the photography (pictures will be ready on Tuesday, December 15) and all the other parents who provided treats and helped with children's crafts.
Before TJ & Noel flew back to the Silly Safari North Pole, TJ said the arrangements for Noel at the Colfax Library were the best they had ever had!
It was wonderful to have so many families, from tiny babies to grandparents, enjoying this first-ever holiday program at the library!

Don't forget, we have a REAL, LIVE Reindeer coming to the library tonight with Santa and an Elf, 7-8:30!!! Come enjoy a "A Night Before Christmas," children's crafts, and refreshments in the Children's section. We'll also have a teen activity, and refreshments for adults and teens upstairs. We have 2 photo booths, 1 with Santa, the Reindeer, and Elf, the other with a Christmas backdrop.
Thanks to our parents for baking fresh cookies, and to Kayse Dickerson and Sarah Lenehan for taking pictures tonight!

We had a great time at the Fair Trade Show and Sale tonight! Almost 20 people enjoyed refreshments, but most importantly, got a lot of their Christmas shopping done!
If you couldn't make it tonight, or for those of you who came and wished you'd brought other friends and family, Old Bank Antiques and Uniques in Kirklin, is having their Christmas Open House this Saturday, from 10am-5pm. There'll be lots more to select from, and refreshments there, too!

Back by popular demand at the Colfax Library, Gloria Brocksmith, of Old Bank Antiques & Uniques, this Monday night, November 30, at 7 pm! There will be refreshments, including Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, and a delicious dip! Many resonably priced items will also be available for gifts and stocking stuffers (or just to treat yourself), including jewelry, scarves, nativity scenes, and beaded keychains--plus other items from all around the world. We hope you'll join us Monday night!

The library is having a young adult (ages 6th grade - 25) advent calendar to count down each day until Christmas! Have you or your young adult signed up? We will be giving away presents of books, dvds, and board games. Stop into the library to sign up and for more information. There are only 9 spots out of 25 remaining so hurry in! Sign up ends on Monday, November 30th or when all 25 days are spoken for!

That reminds me, our holiday party is on Friday evening, December 11 at 7pm. Santa will visit the library, along with one of his reindeer and an elf. Oh, what fun we'll have!

Mark your calendar for Monday, Novemeber 30 at 7pm for our Fair Trade show and sale with Gloria Brocksmith, of Old Bank Antiques & Uniques in Kirklin.

We will also serve refreshments, some which will be Fair Trade, including chocolate, coffee, and tea!
