TOMORROW Historic Downtown Colfax gets its summer back — and we couldn’t be more thrilled that Michael James Cox is the one opening the door.

Michael is a Sierra Foothills local, a Colfax favorite, and we are so honored to have him kick off the very first show of the 2026 Live in Colfax Summer Concert Series. He takes the stage at 6:00PM Saturday — and we cannot think of a better way to start this thing. Wayward Buffalo follows at 7:30PM.

Full street closure. Food trucks. Free admission.

🪡 Pillowcase Making — Saturday, June 6
Sew a custom pillowcase — a great handmade gift idea

🌸 Embroidery Basics and Floral — Saturday, June 13
Create a wool felt heart ornament with floral embroidery (supplies included!)

🔧 Get To Know Your Sewing Machine — Saturday, June 20
Care for your machine, wind bobbins, thread, and sew seams — bring your machine!

🇺🇸 Patriotic Quilt Projects — Saturday, June 27 (1:30–4:30 PM)
Bring your machine, rotary cutter, and ruler — red, white & blue fabric welcome!

👖 How To Hem Pants — Saturday, July 11

Live in Colfax kicks off **this Saturday, May 30th** and we've got a few vendor spots left at Art Park on Historic Main Street.

Free admission. A full street closure on South Main.

Michael James Cox opens the show — a Colfax local who blends outlaw country, blues, and dusty Americana rock into something that's real, raw, and impossible to fake. Equal parts confession and rebellion. If you've never heard him, this is the night.

Then Wayward Buffalo takes the stage with their signature Gold Country Americana and folk rock — the kind of sound that was made for an open sky and a cold drink in your hand.
This is Concert #1 of five. The summer is just getting started.
