CNSTV Maryland Newsline Maryland Newsline is a regional news program produced by students at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland.

Capital News Service is a student-powered news organization run by the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. Our bureau, College Park Studio B, is the only CNS bureau dedicated to broadcast journalism. We produce a local news program called Maryland Newsline, which airs on the web and on UMTV to about 400,000 homes in suburban Washington. ANYONE can volunteer to be a CNS production assistant. You
