The Office of Veteran and Military Services facilitates student success in support of the veterans and military-affiliated students in the higher education institutions and agencies within the Texas A&M University System. Today, we proudly celebrate the 251st Anniversary of the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps.

Since 1775, Army chaplains have faithfully served Soldiers and their families by providing spiritual care, moral leadership, and compassionate support in times of peace, conflict, and crisis. Their unwavering commitment strengthens the force while honoring the diverse faiths and beliefs of those they serve.

Charles Gardner has been named the recipient of the 2026 Student Veteran Excellence Award, an annual honor recognizing exemplary leadership, service and advocacy on behalf of military-connected students across the A&M System.
