Crime Alert – Indecent Assault / Clery Fondling
Campus crime alerts and timely warnings to the community comply with the federal Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act).
On May 27, 2026, the Texas A&M University Police Department (UPD) received information regarding incidents of Indecent Assault/ Clery Fondling that were reported to a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
First Incident
Two victims reported to a CSA that the suspect made unwanted physical contact with them while at work at the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies on May 26, 2026. The first victim stated that the suspect reached around her and placed his hand on hers while she was using her computer mouse. When she pulled her hand away, the suspect placed his hand on her lower back and then “slightly lower”.
The second victim stated that while at the work copier, the suspect “placed his hand” on her buttocks. He then sought opportunities for individual interactions with her and messaged her via Teams.
These reports show a continued pattern by the suspect that have been previously reported to CSAs.
Second Incident
A victim reported to a CSA that on March 30, 2026, the suspect made unwanted physical contact with the victim while at work. The suspect made several physical advances on a paramedic during transport from an on-campus location to an off-campus hospital for medical assistance. The suspect asked multiple times for the paramedic to feel a “bulge” in his pelvic region, placed his hand on her knee, moving it up her thigh while she was administering medicine, and attempted to grab the victim's chest while being assisted to sit up.
Third Incident
A victim reported to a CSA that on October 7, 2025, the suspect made unwanted physical contact with the victim while at work at the Wehner Building. The victim reported that the suspect touched her leg and elbow by being physically too close to her while walking past. The suspect then came up to her and pinched her buttocks several times. The victim left the area after she physically moved his hand away.
All three incidents involved the same suspect, whose identity is known. The suspect is described as an Asian/ Pacific Islander-Non-Hispanic male, 27 years old, 5’ 7” tall, 150 lbs., with black hair and black eyes.
The identities of the victims are confidential, and no further information will be released at this time.
Anyone having information pertaining to these or other incidents is encouraged to contact the Texas A&M University Police Department at 979-845-2345.
