Happy Birthday to our valued volunteer and Life Member Michael Zielinski! Mike Z has been an active volunteer with station 66 since 1994 - that’s 32 years!

Mike is currently our Trustee Chair. He also is in charge of the audio and great music at our car show and other events. Thanks Mike for all that you do for us and the residents of Perkiomen Township and beyond. Have a great birthday!

đźš’ Tanker 66 at Harleysville Tanker Drill

On Tuesday night, Tanker 66 and our all‑volunteer crew participated in a tanker drill hosted by Harleysville Community Fire Company.

This multi‑company training simulated a large‑scale water‑supply operation, testing our collective ability to move and flow significant amounts of water with tankers.

Crews pushed hard through multiple evolutions — and by the end of the night, over 107,000 gallons of water had been moved. Drills like this are critical to ensuring our skills, equipment, and coordination are ready when the call comes.

Many rural and low‑density areas don’t have nearby hydrants, so tankers bring the water to the scene. Training together keeps our regional response strong and efficient.

Thank you to Harleysville Community Fire Company for organizing and hosting this excellent drill.

Mondays are for training and keeping our skills sharp.

This week, our volunteers joined with five other area fire companies at Skippack Fire Company’s Training Facility to focus on Fire Attack, Ground Ladders, RIT (Rapid Intervention Team), Search and VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search). VEIS is a targeted room- specific rescue tactic.

Multiple evolutions ensured that everyone had opportunities.

This was also another window for our volunteers to continue to work with our new Engine 66 before it goes into service to the community.

Only a few more steps are needed before Engine 66 is ready to serve our community.

It’s always important to cross train with our mutual aid partners.

Participating fire companies: Collegeville Fire Company, Trappe Fire Company, Limerick Fire Dept, Royersford Fire Dept and Upper Providence Twp Dept of Fire & Emergency Services.

Thanks to the Training Officers and Training Committees of the various departments, including Upper Providence Twp Dept of Fire & Emergency Services who led and supervised the exercise.

This week, our volunteers trained alongside five neighboring fire companies at Skippack Fire Company's Training Facility, focusing on Fire Attack, Ground Ladders, RIT (Rapid Intervention Team), Search, and VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search) — a targeted, room‑specific rescue tactic.

Multiple evolutions ensured every firefighter had hands‑on reps.

It was also another opportunity for our volunteers to work with Engine 66 as it moves closer to going in service. Only a few more steps remain before it’s ready to serve the community.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support our 34th Annual Al Laskey Memorial Car Show on Sunday!

90 trophies were awarded and much fun was had. Lots of colorful cars from many eras filled the lot.
