Sharing a few moments from Sunday’s memorial service for former Fire Chief and longtime public servant William E. “Bill” Patterson, Jr., held at our fire station.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Patterson family, our members, and all who shared memories of Bill. Your presence meant a great deal.

We are grateful to all who played a part in making this event meaningful — especially our many mutual‑aid partners and the Montgomery County Dept. of Public Safety for their support throughout the day.

A special thank‑you to photographer Regina Jelski with Florian Fire Photography, whose images truly captured the spirit of the event.

On Monday, June 1st at 2:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, June 2nd at various intervals throughout the day, Constellation will conduct its semi-annual, full-volume test of the emergency warning sirens surrounding Limerick Clean Energy Center (formerly known as "Limerick Generating Station"). This is one of two semi-annual tests performed each year. There is no emergency or cause for concern.

The warning siren system consists of sirens located in the 10-mile radius around Limerick Clean Energy Center in Montgomery, Chester, and Berks Counties. In a real event, the sirens are not a signal to evacuate, but a warning to tune to a local Emergency Alert Broadcast television or radio station.

So many people and organizations played a role in making Sunday’s Memorial Service for Bill Patterson, Jr. meaningful, but we want to give special thanks to the many Fire-Police officers from our mutual aid partners who assisted with traffic control during the apparatus procession through the township.

Your professionalism and support ensured a safe and respectful tribute.

• Limerick Fire Department
• Trappe Fire Company No. 1
• Lower Frederick Fire Company
• Harleysville Community Fire Company
• Jefferson Fire Company No. 1

We appreciate each of you.
