The Collingswood Police Department is excited to announce the launch of our new K-9 Program, funded through opioid settlement funds, to support community policing, proactive policing and community safety.

In the coming weeks, we will be welcoming two new four legged officers to our team, a Belgian Malinois and a Labrador Retriever.

These highly trained K-9s will play an important role in helping us:

- Connect with residents through community events and outreach
- Strengthen our efforts to combat the opioid crisis
- Detect and remove illegal narcotics from our community
- Assist with criminal apprehension and officer safety

Our K-9 teams will not only help keep our community safe, but they will also be out in the community meeting residents, visiting schools, and participating in local events.

We look forward to introducing both K-9s and their handlers in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for updates and get ready to meet Collingswood’s newest officers!
