Branch of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System Collins Public Library is a branch of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library System. Our library is designated as both a Rural Technology Center and a Pre-Schooler’s Door to Learning. The children’s area features a beautiful "Children of the World" globe-mobile which is suspended over the children’s computer table. We currently have d

esktop computers for public use, including computers for children in the youth area. We also have 3 laptops available for use in the library. We are a FREE Wi-Fi site! We have a community room that is available for all community groups! (Meeting room closed at this time.) Library cards are available to all Erie County residents, individuals who work in Erie County, and those who live in the Gowanda Central School District. Our library is located on Main Street (Route 39) in the middle of the block between Mill Street and School Street. The parking lot is accessible from both Main Street (next door to the Friends Church) and Mill Street. Mill Street runs south off Main Street (Route 39), one-half mile east of Route 62. This past week was slow, but now we are ramping things up! Are you ready for summer?

Town of Collins Public Library Events for 7/7 thru 7/12.

Monday 7/7 at 10:30 am - Lap Sit with Miss Abbie - Best for ages 6 months to 3+ years
Monday 7/7 at 5:30 pm - Kids DIY Sundaes. Registration required and limited.
Tuesday 7/8 at 5:30 pm - Evening Book Club - Remarkably Bright Creatures.
Wednesday 7/9 at 3:30 pm - Kids Painting & Art Show Sign up. Registration required.
Thursday, 7/10 at 3 pm - Family Movie & popcorn - call for title.
Friday 7/11 at 1 pm - Senior Movie - call for title.
Friday 7/11 at 7 pm - Buffalo Touch Polka - Free concert in the library - doors open at 6:30.
Saturday 7/12 11 am - Adult Craft - rolled paper beads - call to register
Saturday 7/12 at 1 pm - Christmas in July Story Time - call to register
Saturday 7/12 5-11 pm - Liberty Fest in Collins Town Park - Library crafts and more!

Happy "Things Thursday"!
Every week we're going to be highlighting a couple of items you can check out with your library card from our library!
Have some mending you just don't want to do by hand, or need to sew for a craft? Come borrow our sewing machine! With a number of stitches, you'll be able to finish up your project in no time. Or grab a sewing book from our craft area for inspiration.
Or try the game Push from our game collection. Good for 2-6 players, ages 8+.
The sewing machine can be put on hold, but games cannot. But you can give us a call and we can let you know if an item is available!

Now that we're finally catching up, I wanted to share how thankful we are to our community for the wonderful support of our summer hot dog roast and bake sale. We had tons of people come out on a beautiful day and visit the Library! Your support means the world to us.
