The first fire department in Oklahoma to go to the 24/72 42 hour workweek!!

Congratulations to the men and women of Collinsville Fire Department for truly investing in your people.

They will be the first in the IAFF District 11, which includes Texas. With Plano already moving towards it, the heat is on for other departments in their area.

As we have seen with Gainesville, Boynton Beach and Pasco County, this move saves both money and lives.

When you take the downstream financial waste of excessive overtime, poor retention costs and Workman's Compensation premiums and front load it into a fourth shift, it becomes far more fiscally efficient.

A well rested workforce performs at a much higher level and forges a stronger family at home. You also have a fourth shift to call in on those 'all hands' events.

You can find a mountain of FREE resources on the Behind the Shield Podcast website under the 24/72 tab.

The science and economics are irrefutable. All that's needed is the courage to fight for your people and community. Who's next?
