🚨SEVERE WEATHER TODAY 05/19🚨

A slow-moving cold front will bring a line of showers and thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall across North Texas today.

The biggest concerns around Grayson County are:

1. Damaging straight-line winds
2. Hail
3. Frequent lightning
4. Heavy downpours / localized flash flooding
5. Reduced visibility on roads.

A few practical things for today:

1. Keep your phone alerts turned on
2. Avoid parking under trees if hail approaches
3. Don’t drive through water-covered roads
4. Charge devices now in case of outages

If a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued, move indoors away from windows.

You can monitor active warnings and radar through NWS Fort Worth/Dallas Alerts and Radar.
