This weekend was a very successful weekend of training for a few members. Every year we send a group of individuals to the Illinois Fire Service Institute to participate in trainings.

This is training that allows our members to learn and bring new ideas to our department, to better serve the community.

The training instructors are folks with years of experience and always very knowledgeable.

Well hopefully everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. Unfortunately around 4am today we were notified that a male subject had decided to destroy our station. Multiple windows and a door damaged, the subject was identified as a local. Our members have been here all morning cleaning and patching up until repairs can be made.

Thankfully a quick response by the Sherriff’s department further damage was prevented and thankfully neighbors stay on high alert who called it all in.

This weekend firefighters from State Park Fire, Caseyville Fire Department Hollywood Heights Fire Dept. and Church Road Fire Department participated in basic/advanced vehicle extrication training. Everyone worked through the high heat on Saturday, and today’s rainy Start.

Special thanks to LKQ Corporarion for providing the vehicles and to their awesome personnel who allow us to use their facility and being there with us even on their weekend off.

Giving back to the community !

Today Santa made an appearance in the community bright and early to hand out toys to kids in the community. It was without a doubt another successful year, that as always brought smiles to many in the community, even on such a rainy and gloomy day. Special thanks to all of those who have donated to make this possible every year. A very special thanks to the volunteers and firefighters who participate and make the long walks to help Santa deliver his gifts.

Hello Everyone !! This is coming up soon if you’d like to come out and have a great time, and support your local first responders. This is a joint effort to raise money for both Caseyville and State Park Fire Departments that will assist in purchases of up to date and much needed equipment. Hope to see you all there !!!!
