The City Manager, in close consultation with Mayor Carrie Slaughter, has made the decision to cancel the Israeli Flag Raising ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Colma Community Center.

Furthermore, the City Manager will be recommending to the City Council that the formal reading of the proclamation for Israeli Independence Day at its April 22, 2026 Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. also be canceled. The City Council intends to discuss this matter further at a future council meeting.

The Town of Colma remains committed to recognizing the diverse heritage of our community and appreciates the public’s understanding regarding this change to the meeting schedule. For further information, please contact the City Manager’s Office at (650) 997-8300.
