Over 50+ golf carts showed up today for the 4th of July America's 250 Birthday Point Run! 🎉🎂 Thanks to Martha and George Washington for serving the cake, made by our local bakery at Foodlion. It was delicious 😋

Celebrate 🥳 America's 250th Birthday Town of Colonial Beach style with a traditional Golf Cart Point Run on Saturday the 4th of July!

Deck you and your golf cart out in Red, White, and Blue and American Flags 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 for a ride around the point and Birthday Cake 🎂 at the end!

All are welcome, e-bikes, scooters, or carts. Free to participate, line up is at 10am at Town Hill and Go-Time is 10:15 so don't be late!

Join the commrodery of celebrating our nation's birthday together in this commemorative CB way, see you there!

How incredible is it to see our local Osprey making headlines in not one, but two nationally recognized environmental publications!!!📢

The Chesapeake Bay Journal and Audubon Magazine have both highlighted the challenges facing Osprey populations in the Chesapeake Bay, with Colonial Beach and the work being done here helping to tell that important story. It's an honor to see our community contributing to research and awareness that reaches readers across the country.

A huge thank you to the Virginia Osprey Foundation for their tireless dedication to environmental education, conservation, and preservation. Their work monitoring nests, collecting valuable data, educating the public, and advocating for the health of our waterways and wildlife is making a real difference.

We're proud that Colonial Beach continues to play a role in protecting one of the Chesapeake Bay's most iconic birds. Here's to continuing the work together to ensure future generations can enjoy the sight of Osprey soaring over our beautiful Potomac River.

What a great kickoff to Potomac River Festival weekend! 🚒🎉👑

Tonight's Firemen's Parade was absolutely fantastic, and our beautiful Miss Colonial Beach contestants perserve in the rain! Everyone really stepped up to show off our small town American pride on the 75th Annual PRF and 250th Birthday of the USA!

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen, especially the dedicated volunteer organizers, Public Works, and Police Department for all their hard work behind the scenes.
