City of Colony

City of Colony Colony is a city in Anderson County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2022 census, the city population was 375.

History of Colony:

Colony had its start in the year 1872 by the building of the railroad through that territory. It was named for a colony from Ohio and Indiana, which settled in the neighborhood. The railroad tracks in Colony have since been converted to a rail trail. The trail is part of the Prairie Spirit Trail State Park.

Just be aware: the tree near the dumpsters and concession stand at the ballpark had bee's and we have been doing some work on them. Please stay away from them and the tree.

The water bills that were mailed out yesterday, 5-26, show an estimate by the readings. I have the correct ones that show the right reading without the E behind the readings. The total due is correct just not the readings. If you want a new copy please contact the city hall to get one.
