Watson Junior High School Watson Junior High School is a 6th-8th Grade Public School in Widefield School District 3 Watson and Widefield School District 3 is all about community.

Watson Junior High School is located in the heart of the Widefield community. It was established in the Spring of 1964 and is home to the mighty Watson Wolverines. We want to share as much as we can about Watson and the achievements of the students and staff as well as other relevant district community information, and to allow members of the community to express comments and opinions in a constru

ctive and civil manner about Watson and WSD3-related matters. We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say. However, please help us by NOT posting any material or comments that:

Shout out to our Watson athletic teams for outstanding performances this week! Our Wolverine football team walked away with a huge win on Wednesday: 30-6! Our lady Wolverine Volleyball team put up a fight to the end and got the W on Wednesday! And our Cross Country team ran for some of their best times at the meet on Thursday! We are proud of all our Watson athletes who put in the hard work on and off the field everyday! And a special shout out to all our fans: friends, families, and community members for your continued support!

Show up Monday, August 10 to kick off the 2026 athletic seasons!
Cross Country Practice: meet on the Softball Field 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Football Practice: Meet on the Football Field 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Volleyball Tryouts: Meet in the Big Gym 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Bring athletic clothes and shoes, and plenty of water!

Widefield School District 3 will provide free summer meals to children under the age of 18.

Meals will be provided at three locations:
1. Widefield Parks and Recreation: 755 Aspen Drive
2. French Elementary: 5225 Alturas Drive
3. Sunrise Elementary: 7070 Grand Valley Drive
The meals will be provided weekdays May 26 through July 31 (excluding holidays: June 19, July 4).

Breakfast will be served 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. and lunch will be served 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Meals must be enjoyed on site. There is no sign up or forms to fill out to participate in this program.
Adults may purchase breakfast for $3 and lunch for $5.

Menus can be viewed at https://wsd3ns.com/ under the menus tab and selecting any school and the meal period. Please contact Nutrition Services at (719) 391-3560 if there are any dietary or nutritional concerns. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
