This fabulous local resource opened its doors in April 1990, and it just keeps getting better! The center is a Mecca for an extremely diverse neighborhood, and just East of the downtown core, has won numerous awards for community-building and redevelopment efforts. Truly a mosaic in motion, this Community Center features a gym, classrooms and meeting or activity rooms. Hillside is frequently utili

zed by various educational programs; political events; cultural activities and more. Hillside Community Center provides comprehensive and integrated community-based services at a single site for youth, families, the elderly, and those with special needs. We focus on these SEVEN program areas:
1. Early Childhood, Youth and Teens
2. Health and Wellness
3. Medical Services
5. Public Safety
6. Technology
7. Community Building

The month of May is here. Let us all go outside, into nature, and discover how a garden grows. Stories & S.T.E.A.M, “How does your Garden grow?” We will be exploring what is needed for a garden and for plants to grow strong! 🌻🌞🌺
