I want to say thank you to any and all students I have had over the last 15 years. I have a big bag of patches and pile of t-shirts from those that got on departments across the country, and I could not be more proud of that. I taught with passion, I was fair to all and treated you equal. Nothing in the fire service is given, it is earned. As I step down and move to Florida permanently, I wish you all nothing but the best. I did this for the students, and the citizens you all serve now. It was my honor to be with you through your degree or fire academies. Ty signing off! Best of luck and be safe out there.

The CPAT was developed to allow fire departments to obtain pools of trainable candidates who are physically able to perform essential job tasks at fire scenes.
